Disney has continued to venture into its existing stories and is planning to do the same by adapting some of its popular stories in live-action. And one of these projects also includes a live-action adaptation of Hercules , which is expected to bring Danny DeVito back as Phil. After a film and an animated series following the mythological character, the studio announced its plans for a live-action adaptation. From Dutch filmmakers Richard Raaphorst and Ruwan Heggelman, Sony Pictures is turning the short film Gnomes into a feature, and Deadline provides a big update on the project. Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari  ( Ant-Man and the Wasp ) will script the feature film adaptation for Sony Pictures, Deadline reports, with 21 Laps ("Stranger Things") producing. Deadline details, "the original film watches as a girl stumbled into the territory of a killer gnome tribe while out on her daily run, finding herself in grave danger after being lured in by its mysterious glowing mushrooms." 21 Laps' Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine will produce the feature take, with Emily Feher overseeing the project for the company. Kiernan Shipka is starring in the trailer for her upcoming new movie Wildflower !
