Celebrity Engagements of 2021: Stars Who Got Engaged This Year - Us Weekly

Posted: 20 Jan 2021 01:06 AM PST

They said yes! Caroline Stanbury, Nilsa Prowant and more celebs took major steps in their relationships in 2021.

The Ladies of London alum confirmed via social media days after the new year that boyfriend Sergio Carrallo popped the question during a trip to Nepal. The engagement came less than six months after the pair made their relationship Instagram official. Stanbury was previously married to Cem Habib, from whom she split in December 2019. The exes share daughter Yasmine and twin sons Aaron and Zac.

Weeks after confirming her engagement, Stanbury defended her relationship after receiving negative comments about the more than 10-year age gap between her and her fiancé. "Why is this so shocking?" she told Bravo Insider, noting that the reaction isn't as severe when men date younger partners.

Prowant, for her part, checked two big milestones off of her list within a few weeks. At the beginning of the holiday season, the MTV reality star revealed that she was expecting her first child, a baby boy, with then-boyfriend Gus Gazda. Soon after breaking the happy news, Gazda proposed.

"On cloud nine 💍," Prowant gushed via Instagram on January 2, showing off the romantic moment that Gazda got down on one knee. "The love of my life asked me to spend forever with him tonight on my 27th birthday. Today has been more than I could have ever imagined. I can't believe I get to marry my best friend and bring our son Gray into this world soon."

The Florida native thanked her "kind, caring, strong" fiancé for always standing by her side — even through tough moments. "Gus, you've picked up the broken pieces of my heart and put them back together one by one. You never cease to amaze me. I can always count on you!" she wrote. "I know with you by my side I can get through anything. I would say yes over and over and over again. Every single time. Now…Let's plan a wedding 🤍."

Machine Gun Kelly Explains His Social Media Absence: I’ve Been in a ‘F–ked Up Place’ for Months - Us Weekly

Taking a break. Machine Gun Kelly opened up about his social media absence while promoting his new musical film, Downfalls High.

"I just wanna say to my fans I've been in, kind of like, a f–ked up place personally for a couple of months in my head," the musician, 30, said via his Instagram Story on Monday, January 18. "So, I haven't been that active on socials."

Kelly (born Colson Baker) also gushed over the project, which premiered on Facebook on Friday, January 15.

"I just got a call from the label about Downfalls High. The premiere weekend, we got 12 million views on Facebook, dude," he said on Monday. He later corrected himself noting it was actually 16 million views, saying, "I'm, like, tripping out."

Two days prior, Kelly tweeted about his stress, saying, "Anxiety's eating me alive."

The "Bloody Valentine" rapper spoke out about his mental health and substance abuse struggles in November 2020, saying his girlfriend, Megan Fox, has been a guiding light during his journey.

"Currently, my drug of choice is happiness and commitment to the art, rather than commitment to a vice that I believed made the art," the "Drunk Face" singer told Dave Franco in a profile for Interview at the time.

The King of Staten Island actor revealed he is in therapy and is "taking steps" to better his life and stay away from drugs.

"I had my first therapy session last Thursday. That's the first time I ever went, 'Hey, I need to separate these two people,' which is Machine Gun Kelly and Colson Baker," he told Franco. "The dichotomy is too intense for me."

Kelly noted that he is still "early" in his process, but he can already see a shift in himself.

"The commitment to change is inspiring, and I think will reverberate through the universe and definitely through my family," he said. "I can see it already with the people around me. The willingness to finally be happy with my own self has invited a much more vibrant energy around us than before."

The "Forget Me Too" rapper detailed his drug use, admitting Adderall was a "huge thing" for him in the past. He also revealed that the Transformers actress, 34, has been his rock.

"When you have a partner, mine being Megan, sitting there with you on those dark nights when you're sweating and not being able to figure out why you're so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps," he told Franco, 35.

Us Weekly broke the news of Fox and Kelly's relationship in June 2020, one month after the New Girl alum's estranged husband, Brian Austin Green, announced their split after nearly 10 years of marriage.

The Jennifer's Body actress, who shares sons Noah, 8, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 4, with Green, 47, met Kelly while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020.

The pair sparked romance speculation two months later with a source telling Us at the time that they had "started off as friends and their relationship grew from there."

Rachel Uchitel Tells All on ‘RHONY’ Casting, David Boreanaz Romance and More - Us Weekly

Posted: 18 Jan 2021 11:11 AM PST

Looking back at it all. Rachel Uchitel opened up about her relationship with Tiger Woods for the first time during part two of HBO's Tiger documentary, which aired on Sunday, January 17. However, she made it clear that despite being referred to as a "mistress," that's not who she is at all.

"I think people forget how badly I was treated, and the things that people really did to me, and that I couldn't go anywhere, and I was blamed for a lot of stuff," Uchitel, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly on January 11. "For 10 years, I've lived with that same scrutiny. I cannot go places without people still talking to me that same way. I don't think people really realize that, that I'm still treated that same way."

Although she was one of the many women involved with the golfer, 45, during his marriage to Elin Nordegren, the Celebrity Rehab alum is done being identified that way.

"I don't necessarily want to make this a man vs. woman thing, but in a lot of situations, the women get stuck with the stigma and cannot get away from it, and they just get pigeonholed in this thing," she told Us. "The comments of 'home-wrecker,' 'mistress,' 'slut,' 'whore' and the blame just get put on you, and you can't get away."

She's hopeful that speaking out in the documentary will help "get rid of the shame" and "get the shackles off" when it comes to the negative attention.

During an interview with The Los Angeles Times published on Sunday, the Alaska native opened up about struggling to find work after the scandal and being turned down for jobs despite her successful resume.

"I would love some opportunity because I haven't been able to get a real, normal, sustainable job for the last 10 years," she said, adding that she was denied jobs at MSNBC and Bloomberg. "I would love to go work in a newsroom again. I would love to do something normal again. They've told me flat out that I'm too scandalous."

Currently, she's working to raise awareness about love addiction with a recovery center called Transcend.
