Liam Hemsworth invites Gabriella Brooks to spend Christmas with his family - Page Six

It's all uphill from here. Liam Hemsworth's romance with Gabriella Brooks just took a more serious turn, as the actor invited his model girlfriend to spend Christmas Day with his entire family on their European ski trip. A group snap from the trip shows Brooks, 25, fitting in just fine with her 31-year-old boyfriend's family, including brother Chris Hemsworth, 38, and his wife, Elsa Pataky. The actor held up a "hang loose" sign as his girlfriend cuddled up close to his family members. Instagram Brooks and Pataky, 45, appeared to be bonding during the trip, as they posed for a cute photo together in the snow. The two were all smiles as someone in their party snapped their pic, which Pataky shared to her Instagram early Sunday. "Happy Christmas!! 😍☃️🏂Feliz Navidad!" wrote Pataky, who shares daughter India, 9, and twins Sasha and Tristan, 7, with Chris. Brooks and Pataky appeared to be enjoying each other...

Barry Pepper back in action for revenge thriller ‘Trigger Point’ - Boston Herald

Image
After 25 years in the business, Barry Pepper sees each film he now makes as a welcome "adventure." "Trigger Point," opening April 23, finds Pepper, 51, starring as Nicolas Shaw, a traumatized retired CIA special operative. "He led an 'invisible' team of CIA assassins, the guys who would terrorize the terrorists," Pepper said from his home in the Pacific Northwest. "He's now living off the grid. The title refers to the point of impact before the trigger is pulled but it also has something to do with Shaw: We meet him where his trigger point is these nightmares and flashbacks he's experiencing. Because of that trauma he only has fragmented glimpses into what happened. "He does know he's been accused of giving up the names of his team members — and they've all been assassinated.  He's tracked down by his former CIA handler — that's Colm Feore — and must go find the killers. "It's a revenge t...

Was Helen Mirren in any of the Harry Potter movies? - HITC - Football, Gaming, Movies, TV, Music

Image
Potterheads unite! Growing up with Harry Potter meant wanting to go to Hogwarts, to hop onto a Nimbus 2000 and become a Quidditch champion, to venture down Diagon Alley, to chow down on some chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. The novel series became even more popular with the release of Chris Columbus' adaptation of the first book and we received seven sequels. Since The Deathly Hallows Part 2 concluded the series in 2011, we have seen the likes of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them . Sure, they've kept fans immersed in this wonderful world of magic, but arguably nothing can substitute the pure joy of those original eight movies. Fortunately, audiences have been invited on a trip down memory lane with Hogwarts Tournament, although another project has encouraged some fans to contemplate whether a certain actress featured in the franchise. Namely, did Helen Mirren ever star in Harry Potter? Warner ...

Bela Lugosi's life takes fictional turn in new novel with Catholic themes - Catholic News Service

Image
SAN DIEGO (CNS) — Horror movie star Bela Lugosi is one of the main characters in "This Thing of Darkness," a new book written by K.V. Turley and Fiorella De Maria. While the film legend was a real person, the story itself is a work of fiction. Not only that, it is a supernatural horror novel infused with its co-authors' Catholic faith. "I have to say straightaway, this is not a biography," De Maria said. "It is very much an alternate history." At the heart of the novel is a fictionalized version of Lugosi, who achieved stardom with the lead role in the 1931 film version of "Dracula" and followed that with a series of classic horror films throughout the 1930s and '40s. "This Thing of Darkness" is set in 1956, after Lugosi's star had waned, his battle with drug addiction had become public and his career had been reduced to appearances in low-budget schlock. In the novel, journalist Evangeline Kilhooley reluctantly acce...

Ozzy Osbourne’s Children: Meet His 6 Kids, Including The Ones Not On Reality Show - HollywoodLife

The 'Prince Of Darkness' is one proud papa. Ozzy Osbourne is the father of six children, and while fans of 'The Osbournes' might know Jack and Kelly, here's the scoop on the rest. Anyone who has tuned into The Osbournes in the early 2000s or has followed the family since then knows that Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne have two children named Jack and Kelly . Certain fans may even know that Ozzy and Sharon have a third child together, a daughter named Aimee , who opted out of the reality-television series. However, it might not be common knowledge that Ozzy had a life – and a family – before he wed Sharon in 1982. A decade earlier, Ozzy met Thelma Riley at a nightclub called The Rum Runner , where she worked at the time, per Distractify . The couple married in 1971, and a year later, they welcomed their daughter, Jessica Osbourne . Three years after Jessica's birth, Ozzy and Thelma's family grew when she gave birth to their son, Louis . Jessica h...

California - Spirit of the holidays is full of Christmas cheer on cable - Lake County News

Image
This may not come as a surprise to anyone that the Hallmark Channel has been the champion of Christmas movies during the holidays. To keep their exalted status, Hallmark unleashed a torrent of themed films back in October. First out of the gate was "You, Me and the Christmas trees," a story about an arborist (Danica McKellar) who helps a Christmas tree farmer (Benjamin Ayres) rescue his seasonal business. Of course, they end up falling for each other because that's in the holiday spirit. Just in case you miss the point, most of the Hallmark holiday movies have Christmas in their titles, but to switch it up a bit there's "Making Spirits Bright," a Victorian-themed "A Dickens of a Holiday," and then a detour of sorts to "Eight Gifts of Hanukkah." Near the end of the Christmas line for Hallmark is "The Christmas House 2: Deck the Halls," Sharon Lawrence and Treat Williams star as a married couple with two adult sons who find them...

Inglourious Basterds: 5 War Movie Tropes (& 5 Subversions) - Screen Rant

Quentin Tarantino's most notable contribution to cinema is his subversive take on genre. Whenever Tarantino tackles a genre, like a crime movie or a kung fu movie or a spaghetti western, he sets out to subvert the expectations of that genre while still delivering the goods. At their best, Tarantino's movies give the audience what they want and also give them something they weren't expecting. RELATED: 10 Best Inglourious Basterds Scenes That We Still Think Of Today A perfect example of this is Inglourious Basterds , Tarantino's Oscar-winning World War II epic. The movie adheres to a bunch of well-known war movie tropes, but also s...
