Cuttputlli actor Chandrachur Singh says Akshay Kumar is at 'top of his game', calls him good co-star | Exclusive - India Today

Chandrachur Singh turns a cop for his new film, Cuttputlli. The Akshay Kumar-Rakul Preet Singh starrer is the remake of the Tamil film Ratsasan. In the film, both Chandrachur and Akshay played the role of a cop. Was it difficult for Singh to play one? The actor told IndiaToday.in, "Every role brings a different set of challenges. There were some really interesting scenes."
'SCENES REQUIRED DILIGENCE, EFFORT'
Chandrachur went on to add, "You will see them when the film releases. You will know that these scenes required a certain amount of diligence, effort and preparation during the scene internally so that you could portray it to the best of your ability. To portray the character to the best of your ability for the film to the audience."
The actor further revealed that he got emotionally involved with the film while reading its script. "I got emotionally involved when I was reading the script because I felt there was a lot of exciting stuff for me to do also. Apart from the fact that the film itself was going to connect with the audience. So, it was both the film and my character and the entire team which was very exciting to work with. It was something that I immediately wanted to do," he said.
AKSHAY SIR IS AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME: CHANDRACHUR
When asked about his bond with the star cast of the film, Chandrachur stated, "I think we were like a family. We had our meals together. Akshay sir insisted that we all get together. We used to have fun together. We used to play dumb charades. We played a lot of games together and had our meals together. And it was more like a family atmosphere. It was easy to translate that bond onto the screen. We were all together. It was a very nice experience."
On a concluding note, he quipped, "And I was looking forward to working after many years of things not happening the way they were supposed to. Earlier, we were supposed to work together with Akshay sir. So that was a very nice experience. He is at the top of his game. He is a very good co-star and everyone has been nice. They are nice people. Everyone was good."
Cuttputlli was released today [September 2] on Disney+ Hotstar.
